Troubleshooting & Safety New Bromine Pools Initial Water Treatment

Day 1

AM
Shock pool with non-chlorine based oxidizer

Wait 4 hours after shocking.
Test the pH of the pool water and adjust to between 7.2-7.6

Wait 4 hours after adjusting pH.
Test the alkalinity of the water and add enough ALKAJUSTER to bring to 120ppm

PM

Establish recommended sanitizing level by applying an
UNSTABILIZED GRANULAR CHLORINE such as HTH EXTRA

Day 2

AM

Add 1L of CONCENTRATED ALGAECIDE
Check the pH and adjust to between 7.2-7.6

PM

Activate the BROMINATOR at the medium setting
After 3 days, Adjust the brominator level up or down as needed

72 hours after activating the brominator, take your pool water to Pioneer for professional testing
